Rogue Legacy 2 Best Class

With 15 classes in Rogue Legacy 2, there are plenty of options available. However, not everything is created equal because some classes feel much more prepared for the journey. In Rogue Legacy 2, no matter your play style, there is a class for you. Here are the top 5 best…and worst classes:

Top 5 Classes

Chef

Not only does finding health in the world heal you but it also replenishes your talent which is the ability to cook some stew and heal yourself. This alone puts the chef in the top 5 due to the rarity of healing items but the attack also does burn damage and hits projectiles back at enemies. When things sometimes can feel like a bullet-hell in Rogue Legacy 2, being able to return some of those items to sender is great.

Ranger

The ranger feels overpowered at times when you are dealing with enemies that can’t leave the ground because then you can safely, and at range, send as many arrows as you need. You could also make your canopy of thorns and rein terror from just about anywhere on the screen. The ranger is one of the easiest classes to critical hit with because once you get the timing of the bow, it becomes muscle memory. The only reason this call isn’t overpowered is because it does take time to pull back the arrow which can get hectic when everything is coming your way.

Astromancer

Based on the classes in my top tier list, I like to do damage from long range if possible and get out and let status effects do their job. With the Astromancer, you have to get in close to make a black hole but after that it also creates a barrier between you and the enemy that only projectiles can get through, so you do have to be somewhat aware. The ability to turn into comet form is not only good for evading but its great for challenging platform areas.

Gunslinger

Range is the name of the game. Its actually Rogue Legacy 2, but the gunslinger is similar to the ranger with a pistol for ranged attacks that can shoot through soft walls. Shooting in the air causes your character to remain in place which can be strategized well and the bottom third of the magazine does critical damage which stacks up nicely. The gunslinger talent is dynamite, which deals a lot of damage and shoots four ways, the only downside is that they can only drop it and not throw it. If you could throw dynamite, Rogue Legacy 2 would only require one class.

Barbarian

The barbarian is very tanky with high health and higher damage class. Unless you are jump attacking, all ground hits are critical which can delete most enemies in one smash. Ground attacks are also the way you recharge your mana. Its a very simple yet effective tactic, smash everything on the ground and you’ll be fine. Its a tiny bit slow but that just means Barbarian is top tier and not broken. The jump attack spins and if you find the ability to fl, you can just become a constant flying, food processor that never needs to touch the ground making for easy fights and easier platforming.
