There's a palpable fear from teachers in the state of Florida, that they might do the "wrong thing", do something that is deemed illegal. Ron DeSantis, the governor of florida has a deep fear of LGBTIQ folks and is using this fear to stoke fear in the community and to fuel his career aims of being POTUS in 2024. Both Trump and Desantis are in a race to see who can be the most fascist and bigoted. Overt #fascism is coming to the US. The US already has the 14 defining characteristics of fascism. We need to support trans people in whatever way we are able and speak up for them. This is a very dangerous time for them.
