My Gaming Diary: Dear Diary, I have tried once again to record a 3DS game capture, and failed. Consider this a lesson in how NOT to do it. Feel free to thumbs down all you want, it won't hurt my feelings. I agree. I finally punked out and decided I am not going to figure this out on my own. I just found another guy's video who recommends recording with the 3DS mounted in a dock, & turn down the brightness settings. I guess that is what I am going to try next. 3DS videos I have recorded in the past have been better, where I have used the Panasonic HDC-HS80 or the Contour ROAM3 on a tripod. The issue there has been I have still had moments of high glare and trouble keeping the 3DS in-camera view and my gameplay has suffered and my hands have cramped. But this is the last experiment I'm going to run without turning to the web for help. This was an attempt to record with the Contour ROAM 3 mounted on a head-mount.
Gameplay wise, I like this game. I love turn-based tactical games and this title, although being a JRPG and invoking some of the game design elements that cause me to NOT play JRPGs, skews more towards tactics, and I can get behind that. Stay tuned for another experimental run that I hope will be tons better than this one. Arrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!
