Some of my few recorded successes with Fish Escalator, as well as an attempt surviving a double flop at the end! This is all done RTA, with input viewer visible in the bottom left of each attempt. Hopefully this helps with learning the trick! ♥
This is also still part of the larger video analysis of the trick that I still am working on. It will be showing things in much more detail, along with pointing out visual cues and other things to keep in mind should you attempt Fish Escalator.

The first example was done about a month and a half prior to the others, which were all done within a one hour practice session after not having played the game since then. These were not done back to back, though two were done within about 10 attempts of eachother, which was exciting!

The first example was recorded at 48 FPS, which is why the frame count may look a bit weird, and I wasn't recording audio at the time since it was part of a much longer recording session, and listening to the start of level music on loop gets to be a bit much, aha. Everything after that first one though was recorded at 60FPS with game audio, so it should be a bit nicer.

I also achieved a few more escalator successes that were before I started recording, as managing to get a couple in only about 20 minutes of playing motivated me to practice more and start recording attempts. I think my total successes with Fish Escalator are now about 30 to 40 total.

Its clear to me now that this is RTA viable, and arguably just flat out better than the current Fish Ladder method done in runs. The benefit of Escalator is that if you get a good hook, then at worst you can flop twice and still make it in via Ladder instead. Most often I either flop at the end of the hook, flop just before clipping out of bounds, or have max ladder height, but am stuck just below the top seam and can't gain any more height from the wallglide. In all cases though, they are always recoverable to make it in via ladder route, and I actually find fish ladders from those failures being easier to get in with enough height. Partially due to doing a Down+Left turn at the end, rather than just cardinal left, which makes the last turn of Fish Ladder very easy, and possible to make even from below the lower seam of the wall even (its difficult, but doable just barely with a charge.). Most attempts I dont even have to do a charge even with low height.

I'll stop my rambling there though x3 Thanks for watching and reading ♥
And yes, I will be going for this in runs ^^
