In tonight's minty fresh episode, the Host and his trusty companion Points Squid are pulling open one of the world's most famous MMORPGs - RUNESCAPE - and rummaging around inside to see what goes squish. As noob reviewers focusing on first-look style commentary, they've stuck a scalpel into Runescape 3, the most graphically up to date version of the game and the version that - unbeknownst to them at the time - is generally derided by the RS community as being inferior to its predecessor.
Plz don't @ us, Reddit. Or maybe do. We need the promotion.
Hey, here's some plot blurb for you, because we do technically have one of those: A mysterious and as-yet-unknown megacorporate has provided our Host and Points Squid a splash of sponsorship from one of its many brands! That means they get to play with an inkling of a budget and put explosions in a ton of different shots. Hey, maybe our heroes will actually get to pay rent this week?

Normal Video Game Review Show is what all other video game reviews shows are glad not to be. It's a mirror held up to the genre of 'YouTube game review', which means the reflection - our show - is the person that never quite looks right and that everyone hopes isn't real.
Imagine if the BBC-style comedy of Charlie Brooker or Chris Morris got together with a talentless pillock and decided to get into gaming. Now you're imagining NVGRS!
