The puzzle involves using crystal "coins" to produce specific colors and intensities.

Producing colors involves referencing Bolrie's notes.
First, take a seed from the crate next to the singing bowl.

Second, right click the singing bowl to fill or empty it of water to affect the shape of the resulting coin.
Empty bowl makes circle. 20% makes almond lens. 40% triangle. 60% Square. 80% Pentagon. 100% full makes hexagons.

Third, turn the prism shooting light at the bowl to affect color. It shoots only the colors of the rainbow (if you consider indigo a rainbow color).

Last, use the singing bowl to create the crystal coin who's properties you've just chosen.

Shape and color determine intensity. Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet are valued 1 through 7 in the order I've written them in.
The color value is then multiplied by the number of sides of a crystal coin to determine intensity (a circle is considered to be 1 sided, while an almond lens is 2 sided). For example, an orange hexagon has an intensity of 12, and a indigo triangle has an intensity of 18.

To produce custom colors, all you have to worry about is color and shape and not intensity.
To make cyan you need blue and green coins of the same shape. To make magenta, you need red and blue of the same shape, or a red triangle and indigo square (3:4 sides ratio),
or a combination of red and violet that produces a 1 red side:2 violet sides.
Yellow requires red and green of the same shape or 1 green side: 2 orange sides.
Keep in mind that a circle is considered one sided while an almond/oval is considered two sided.

Keeping in mind color, side ratio, and total intensity, you need to supply the anti-illusion device with the right combination of coins to produce the right color and light intensity.

#####
After calibrating the device, follow the dialogue until you get separated from Golrana after your trip inside an air vent.

From your landing point, head upstairs. Head to the north-east corner of the room. Rotate the watcher pointed at the cell door. Enter the room and trip up the terrorbird by claiming to be Glouphire.

Head to the back of the room to meet Bolrie. Convince you're real by mentioning Ilfeen, Gena, 42, and the Grand Tree picture.

After getting his trust, head back to the stairs but don't go down them. Instead, go to the end of the corridor heading south-west to reunite with Golrana.
