Runescape Ritual of the Mahjarrat part 7 of 10 Khazard
I cut the Ice Demon fight short on purpose because I got bored while reviewing the footage.
Go to the south-east corner and speak with Moravio twice so that he says he senses the Stone of Jas nearby. Equip the ring of visibility and run west to find a shadow pillar. Investigate the pillar and place a heat globe to reveal an ice tunnel. Before entering, leave the plateau and gear up for the ritual.
Your armor should very protective against magic or range. Use your best weapon, but keep in mind many of your enemies are weak to crush and fire spells. Zombies are weak to slash. Have an emergency teleport.
Use rocktails or sara brews, have 2-3 prayer potions, and access to protect from melee curse or prayer.
A beast of burden for holding food is optional.
Cutscenes act as checkpoints, meaning you can teleport away and take a break after each one.
Return to the Ritual site through the west coast of the Trollweiss hunter area (fairy ring code D.K.S) and taking a canoe. When you land, ascend using the rope you setup earlier.
Return to the shadow pedestal and enter the ice cave you unblocked. Go to the end of the cave and interact with the Stone of Jas.
You will trigger Lucien's alarm spell and be teleported out. General Khzarard will appear to confront you and the Temple Knights. Use Protect/Deflect Magic and attack. His magic attack can hit over 400. Periodically, he will summon his pet dog Bouncer. Bouncer attacks frequently and accurately. Run toward "Ali" to have him kill the familiar with one spell. Always run back toward Ali when Bouncer is re-summoned.
After Khazard flees, the team will next be confronted by Lucien who will summon Ice Titans. ACTIVE PROTECT/DEFLECT MELEE RIGHT AWAY!!!!!
You need to defeat two titans to advance the quest. The trouble is that the Titans will occasionally freeze you and Lucien will launch a shadow bomb towards you every ten seconds. When frozen or when you see Lucien's attack (which looks like a skull of smoke), try to run away. Try to keep the Titans lined up so that you are less likely to be frozen.
When two titans fall, Lucien will then summon a platoon of Ice Demons. Pray against mage or range, whichever you are more vulnerable to. You will need to be responsibly for killing two Ice Demons (as in you do most of the damage on them). This is easier than the Ice Titans since the demons can't freeze you, but they can block your movement with icicles. Luckily, the icicles are breakable, meaning avoiding Lucien's bomb attack is easy. There's a chance more than two demons will target you; focus your effort on the demons that the Barrows Brothers seem unable to damage.
When the Ice Demons are wiped out by your allies, all the other Mahjarrat appear and spell out who they serve (Zamorak or Zaros), a battle breaks out. Zemouregal summons some zombie soldiers that are easily dispatched by you and the Barrows Brothers. You still have to avoid Lucien's attack.
Next, Arrav will be summoned and you will be tasked with freeing him. Attack Arrav until he targets you and try to lure him toward where you hid his heart. Keep him engaged in battle near his heart until he realizes he is free. Arrav will exercise vengeance on Zemouregal who will get pissed that Lucien is not aiding him.
Zemouregal will call for an alliance of all Mahjarrat against Lucien.
Azzanadra braces himself to use Zaros' power against Lucien, but Lucien casts a final summoning calling forth a creature called a Glacor.
The release of the Glacor causes a quake of energy that destroys the southern Zaros beacon. Activate protect from range or mage and gather the beacon pieces. You do not need to kill the Glacor. Put the beacon back together by left-clicking a fragment once all the pieces are in your inventory. Place the beacon back in the tree south-west from Arrav's heart.
With Zaros' projection restored, the Glacor will disappear, and Azzanadra will use Zarosian magic to do sever damage to Lucien. Lucien laughs off the attack by summoning the Stone of Jas, however the Stone, in a way, backfires.
Afterwards, the stone is hidden and you are returned to Falador. Bank your gear and report to Tiffy for your quest reward.
Return to the Ritual site and search its northern edge, near the ice entrance, to find Arrav and see him accept death for prayer experience.
