Rupert Read is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of East Anglia, an author, a blogger, and a climate and environmental campaigner. Most recently, he has been a frequent spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion and a member of their political liaison team, representing them on national radio and television, including on Radio 4's Today Program and on the BBC's Politics Live. He is author of 'Philosophy for Life: Applying Philosophy in Politics and Culture' in which he calls for the practice of philosophy in our everyday lives.
