Can science describe reality?

Cambridge Professor of Applied Mathematics David Tong, quantum physicist Lev Vaidman and post-postmodern philosopher Hilary Lawson unciver reality and question whether models used by physicists are merely powerful tools created by the human mind, or really exist and describe the essential character of the universe.

Hilary Lawson is a post-postmodern philosophy who calls for the post-Derridian return to metaphysics. He is author of 'Closure: A Story of Everything' and is the director of the Institute of Art and Ideas.

David Tong is a Cambridge Professor of Theoretical Physics and winner of the Adams Prize, his research focuses on how the universe is held together on a fundamental level.

Lev Vaidman is a creator of the Elitzur-Vaidman bomb tester for splitting possible universes, heralded by New Scientist as one of the seven wonders of the quantum world, Vaidman teaches physics at Tel Aviv University.
