Rory Stewart was one of 21 anti no-deal rebels to be purged from the party on 3rd September 2019. The former Secretary of State for International Development under Theresa May is now an independent politician and champion of the fight against a No Deal Brexit. He will stand in next year's election against current Labour mayor Sadiq Khan and Tory candidate Shaun Bailey to be London's Mayor.
