Rust - Baiting a CLAN of HACKERS with 400 ROCKETS (Movie)
7,731In this rust movie, we are the primary offline raid target of the server's token zerg of Chinese hackers. We only added fuel to that fire when we flexed 400 rockets in the vending machines of a glorified 2 x 2. We may not have been able to out spray these cheating loot goblins, but we were more than capable of outmaneuvering them in more ways than one.
But what's more fun than offline raid defence against a large clan of hackers? The progressive gameplay that leads to that moment, of course. Starting on our favourite official vanilla server at the very beginning of forced wipe - [AUS] Facepunch 1. We find ourselves competing for resources and territory immediately. Oil Rig allows us to bounce from tier 1 to tier 2 and a couple of early game raids propel us to the early stages of tier 3 loot.
However, we weren't the only group raiding. Our neighbours had a bone or two to pick with us and we very nearly came unstuck.
The following days include high octane tier 3 PvP, Bradley, oil rig, cargo ship and counter-raids. One or two carefully planned ambushes and a well placed high velocity rocket keep us on the raid target list of the competing groups.
This has to be one of the most action-heavy forced wipes I've ever played.
