This forced wipe, our group decided to do something completely different. Instead of rushing a tier 3 monument like Launch Site or Military Tunnels, we laid our claim to the most overlooked monument in the game - The Giant Excavator.
The early game power from excavator is absolutely insane. One stack of diesel provides four air drops each of which guarantee a gun and some kind of explosives. We were able to use this early gun to clear missile silo multiple times ballooning our lead ahead of the competition incredibly quickly.
While we were dominating our own area, others were doing the same and it didn't take long for our
groups to collide. One group in particular became the focal point of an intense rivalry. Mango7 is an incredibly deep and talented Thai zerg and we were at each other's throats for the duration of the wipe competing for the title of the most dominant group on the server.
After claiming Excavator for ourselves, we also took control of Sulfur Quarry. Between the two, we were generating around 90,000 sulfur every hour completely passively. We did not have to farm to generate enough rockets to raid the largest bases on the server.
