After playing the new #ResidentEvilVillageDemo on the PS4 Pro and not being able to complete it due to crashes, I decided to try it on my PC. I now see why Capcom was initially going to just release this game on next gen. The base PS4 is coming up 8 years old and the Pro 5 years. The hardware struggles to play this new title. I wanted to see the difference between PS4 Pro and My PC consisting of hardware recently released in 2019. And the difference is dramatic! Playing on default settings that still looked great, you can see the GPU barely rises above 40% usage and CPU 20%! The RE Engine obviously has a huge part to play in this as the demo seemed extremely well optimized and as far as i'm aware the frame rate didn't once drop below 60.
So in conclusion, The Ryzen 5 3600 paired with the RX 5700 XT is still more then capable of playing next gen titles in 2021. #RX5700XTResidentEvil8 #ResidentEvil8PC
