1After 10+ hours of trying to beat this dude, I finally got it.
The problem here is that Rykard's health pool in NG+ is so high compared to any other boss. Then bring in the fact there's 2 phases, both with full health pools. If using sorcery only then this means you need a whole bunch of Cerulean Flasks - which means sacrificing crimson flasks.
It's basically a marathon, given the fight is so long, and only a couple slip ups = death.
Felt exhausted afterwards but so pleased to beat him!
