This is a benchmark for Ryse: Son of Rome for the PC. I purchased this game through steam and recorded the footage using Nvidia's "Geforce Experience: Shadowplay." The FPS counter you see is from FRAPs. I noticed very negligible differences in framerates when recording, so what you see is around the same performance to be expected from my particular setup when not recording.

PC Specs:
-Windows 10
-Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard
-Intel Core i5-3570k @3.44GHz
-16GB DDR3 (1600MHz) RAM
-Nvidia Geforce gtx 1080ti (11GB)
-OCZ 650W PSU

Ryse is not optimized very well. There's quite a few problems with this port and they are immediately apparent when you boot up the game for the first time. One odd fix a steam user in the community forums suggested to help with frequent and severe framerate drops helped me to stabilize the framerate, but as you can see in the one scene involving a fight in the forest, the framerate dipped as low as 35fps when triggering an execution takedown. This is likely a problem with the game's code and not the hardware.

As always, I hope this video helps give any curious PC gamers a better idea of how this game will perform. Be sure to subscribe for some more Benchmarks in addition to gameplay videos, tutorials, and reviews!
