S T A L K E R: Call of Pripyat - ( 2022 ) Video #235: Yubileiny Service Center Probe
Back in Pripyat, after taking some quick naps, it was time to go to the Yubileiny Service Center and circumvent the building to see what I could find on each side. However, before I could get there, I had to do some Pripyat streets housekeeping namely Bloodsuckers, Rodents and Zombies. The Chimera was not really in my path but after looting the Zombies I was too close to resist.
When I arrived at the Yubileiny Service Center, from the playground looking at the eastern side of the building, I did not see any movement on the many floors. I moved to checking out the south side and was able to locate some Zombies using my FT-200M and then quickly switching to my Gauss rifle to blast them with one shot. This pretty much set up my routine for my going to all four sides. As I moved along on the southern side, I made sure to keep my back and even a side to the apartment doorways for protection.
Sure enough as I was busy looking at Yubileiny, my visibility meter maxed out green and in a split second I saw and heard the Bloodsucker coming at me like a moving freight train. I carry the Eliminator because there is simply no better close range mutant killer, and even though the Bloodsucker drew blood on me, it did not grab me, and I have yet to be caught in the grip and have my blood sucked even once in this Game. I could not have asked for a better place to be when I defended myself and killed it.
I continued my pattern moving along to the west side with my back to another apartment building, while scanning for any targets. The west side produced the most abundance and they were all Zombies. I blasted at least half a dozen as I moved to the north side. As expected, I ran into some rodents when I got to the north-east corner that I dispatched quickly. The north side was probably the least favorable side of the building for finding targets since most all of the windows were solid and there were very few openings to see anything. I moved out into the street, more exposed but I could also see anything coming for me from a good distance.
I had to be careful with my back to the School because I knew there would be Zombies or Mercenaries inside at this point. Despite the eastern side having the most open windows there were just not any targets I could see. I knew there were Monolith inside there besides the Zombies but all I had seen was Zombies. Unexpectedly I got the message of an incoming Emission, and I chose not to use the third dose I need to use soon ( to get the Achievement ) but instead felt I could make it safely back to the laundromat. I chose a path different than how I arrived and ran smack into the rear of three Zombies I didn't see until I was right upon them.
A quick kill of the squad and I grabbed their loot, switched to some Goldfish and then massed my way back to shelter with plenty of time to spare. The Military Repair Tech repaired all the Zombie guns for free which was a great way to make the most profit when they were taken back to Jupiter or Zaton. It was also a great way to reduce items spread out in my inventory as for example six junked guns in variable degrees of wear could take up to six spots. Six repaired guns, new again would only take up one spot in my stash chest. After doing this the Emission ended and it seemed like a god time to end the video.
