S5E114b Roadwarden + Resolutiion + Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet - Variety Gaming with the Pup!

Bit of actual variety gaming with two new games and a classic dredged up from the depths, we start out with Roadwarden.
Roadwarden is a Book. It's a game, yes, a choose your own adventure story, but a book nonetheless. Reading it out loud was difficult as most of the characters I ended up running across were masc and it slowly burned the back of my throat trying to stay in that vocal range. Gameplay consisted of an interesting set of story based choices you could make, depending on what character class you selected at the beginning of the game. I like the world they're hinting at, and some of the ideas behind how your choices affect the relationships you hold with the cast of characters living in said world. I'll probably give this one another try during my off hours to be able to save my voice ^^"
Resolutiion was an interesting looking game that would probably keep my attention just fine if I weren't actively looking for story just after having played Roadwarden. It's the story of an assassin who's been assigned an AI to delve into their memories in an attempt to find information necessary to stop a.. different assassination? I'm not entirely sure of what it was I was experiencing at the time in the perspective of the character, whether they were remembering prior times they'd taken part in other missions, or if they were actively engaging in combat in their perceptual here-and-now. Their digital assistant seems to be partially equipped with a skillset that makes them a therapist as well, and that's a strange vector to me.
After getting lost in the woods (literally) we jump into a flying saucer and try to save our planet from oncoming darkness. But the darkness comes anyways, and we have to try to save our people instead. It's an interesting game with a gorgeous paper mario style of paintwork, but feels a little too much like a mobile game that should have stayed mobile for me. I might not be the target audience, either. Still a pretty game, nonetheless!
