Sagittarius: Djinn There, Done that! Terraria Ancients Awakened pt 12
In todays video we fight the Dessert Djinn and Sagittarius in The Void. We also Craft the Raider Lance , Blazing Dawn, Abyssal Twilight and The Pentashot.
heres info on the Dessert Djin and Sagittarius from Ancients Awakened Mod Gampedia:
The Desert Djinn is a Pre-Hardmode boss fought in the Desert Biome.
Spawn
The Desert Djinn doesn't spawn on his own, and requires the player to summon him using the Desert Lamp while in the Desert.
Behavior
The Desert Djinn's AI is similar to that that of a Sand Elemental, but with several differences.
At the start of the fight, he summons a sandstorm that lasts for the entirety of the fight.
The Desert Djinn slowly follows the Player while periodically spawning three Sand Tornadoes.
He will spin his arm around and dash at the Player.
He will attempt to get close to the Player while performing rapid punches.
When outside the Desert, Desert Djinn enters an enraged state, executing a series of rapid punches that instantly kill the player if close. If entered back, he turns to normal.
Tips
Anything that can help you jump or fly over the Sand Tornadoes, like bottle accessories or rocket boots, will help with dodging.
Accessories that reduce knockback help, because if you get knocked out of the desert, or just exit it by accident, the Desert Djinn will enrage.
Also, in the event where going through a Sand Tornado is the only realistic option during the fight, knockback reduction/resistance will tremendously help with those situations.
Trivia
The Desert Djinn's theme is The Dust Bowl, which was composed by the artist Universe, and is a remaster of Sand Smackdown.
The Desert Djinn is a reference to the popular anime JoJo's Bizzare Adventure.
The Desert Djinn is getting removed in the next update.
Sagittarius is a Pre-Hardmode boss fought in The Void after Skeletron has been defeated. When defeated, the boss drops Doomite Bars
Spawn
Sagittarius does not spawn on its own and must be summoned by the player using a Lifescanner in The Void.
Behavior
Sagittarius alternates between firing projectiles and leveling itself with the player to charge them. It will only fire one type of projectile at once, rerolling the type every time it charges. The projectiles it can fire are:
Rapid void lasers.
Void rockets that track the player and explode upon contact.
Death rays that aim at the current position of the player. Each beam is telegraphed by a warning laser.
Swarms of bouncing void stars.
Gravity-affected mines that create spheres of lightning on impact.
As Sagittarius loses health, it will start leaking void lightning bolts as additional projectiles. Its charges also become faster and more frequent.
Quotes
"EXTENSIVE BODY DAMAGE DETECTED. PROCEED WITH CAUTION." (When Sagittarius is low on health)
Tips
Saggitarius attempts to position itself diagonally above the player. This can be used to position it in one of the islands, blocking most projectiles.
Beware the Void rockets, as getting hit can easily stunlock the player due to the low gravity environment, resulting in a lot of damage.
The previous tip can help stop this.
Trivia
Sagittarius' theme is Event Horizon, which was composed by the artist SpectralAves. It's a remake of Zodiac by OmegaFerretMusic.
Prior to 1.0, Sagittarius used to have a second phase named Sagittarius-A.
Sagittarius also used to have a swarm of Orbiters that acted as its shields and minions.
