2Wonderful Words of Life is a worldwide program of hope from The Salvation Army. It’s a 15-minute show with inspiring conversation, great music from Salvation Army artists, and a weekly Bible study. The show is available on your favorite podcast store and is airing on more than 200 radio stations around the world. The current series, Head Space, is a discussion about mental health. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, nearly 1-in-5 adults in the U.S. experience mental illness in a given year. And over 21% of youth will experience a severe mental disorder in their lifetime. The main theme of this series is to encourage the church to do a better job discussing mental health, removing its old stigma and making our communities know our churches are a judgement-free safe place for people experiencing a mental health crisis.
