Good news for Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) users in Russia and Malaysia! (rolling out to more countries) The Android 5.0 Lollipop update has finally arrived and is ready to be downloaded via Samsung Kies 3 application on PC since the OTA update via Wi-Fi is currently not available at this moment. The update should take about 30 - 45 mins depending on internet connection speed. I will be updating the device on the spot and then showing you the quick preview of the software. If there is any questions or suggestions, please comment down below.
Before updating please ensure:
1) Have at at least 3GB of free storage space (internal)
2) At least 50% battery available
3) Backed up all personal data (just in case)
4) You do not need to use the phone for 30 - 45 mins as it is updating
Advantages after updating (more will be added over time):
1) New material design interface on applications (with TouchWiz look as well)
2) New transitions and animations
3) New notifications panel look
4) New MirrorLink feature under connection settings
5) Blocking mode has been replace with Interruptions
6) Better performance and optimizations
7) Improved boot up and boot down times
8) New "Head-ups" notification style
Disadvantages after updating (so far that I found):
1) Storage space decrease by 1GB due to OS
2) Minor lag in Multitasking UI (could be fixed with another stability update)
3) The is no "Mute" option available in sounds setting (only sound and vibrate only)
