Ahead of my unboxing and review, here's a closer look at the leaks for Sammy's latest foldable flip phone. So far we know that the cover screen is the biggest update, with the ability to run apps and widgets rather than merely check notifications. That's similar to what we saw on the Oppo Find N2 Flip and RAZR 40 Ultra, so the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is looking like a solid upgrade.
Performance should also be pumped up with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 stuffed inside, so gaming will be breezy and hopefully without any heat. Battery life remains a concern however, if Samsung has stuck with a 3700mAh battery for the Galaxy Z Flip 5. That's smaller than rivals, which could see you running dry before you're tucked up with teddy.
