Samurai Shodown/Showdown II/Shin Samurai Spirits Hanzo Arcade Mode Part 1
Hanzo's normals are identical to Galford's. But with Hanzo not having a hcf or qcf special move on the ground, he can use his pile driver special move to cancel his standing normals into standing slashes. Both Hanzo and Galford's Pile Driver has no whiff animation, so it can be exploited this way. Unfortunately, Galford cannot follow up a pile driver cancel with a normal slash, since pile driver cancelling will give him a qcf buffer. Pressing any normal afterwards will make him perform his plasma blade.
Go to normals:
Far standing light slash. A quick horizontal slash with good range. Hit cancellable.
Far standing medium slash. A quick one handed downward slash with great range.
Far standing heavy slash is an odd one. Hanzo (and Galford) spins vertically twice with their blade extended. It hits twice but landing the first hit doesn't ensure the second won't hit. They gain invincibility form low attacks such as sweeps and ground projectiles.
Close standing light and medium slash. A short version of the far standing medium slash, but special and super cancellable.
Close standing heavy slash. A powerful downward slash that is both whiff and hit cancellable. When fighting other players, you can use this as a nasty mix up on wake up since you can whiff cancel into pile driver. You can also make it safe on block with pile driver cancelling.
Far standing light and medium kick. Quick upwards kick that can somehow be used as anti air.
Crouching heavy slash. A powerful crouching horizontal sweep with moderate speed and not so good range. Good for punishing if opponent is too far for a close standing heavy slash.
Crouching light kick. Quick low poke with good range.
Crouching medium kick. Longer and stronger than light kick, but slower. Hit and whiff cancellable.
Jumping light and medium slash. Has the same animation, range and speed as far standing light slash. Can be used as a reactionary air to air.
Jumping heavy slash. A fast and powerful downward slash with good range. Can also be used as a reactionary air to air, but from a distance
Jumping light and medium kick. Quick aerial kicks that hits straight. Also can be used as reactionary air to air.
Both Hanzo and Galford can wall jump.
Special moves:
In the air, hcf + slash (New Reppushuriken/Aerial shuriken)
Hanzo throws a shuriken at the enemy while in the air. Button strengh dictates the downward tragectory. Light slash is nearest while heavy slash is the farthest. Has huge recovery after Hanzo lands.
When hit with a move that doesn't knock you down(light kick+medium slash+medium kick)
Hanzo disappears, leaves a wooden log, reappears below the enemy and does his crouching heavy slash. Can be used to escape combos.
Teleport and Drop(hcf+light kick+medium slash+medium kick)
Hanzo disappears, reappears on top of the enemy, does a spinning downward slash then bounces away afterwards. I don't really know the use of this move as it looks so unsafe even if you manage to hit the enemy.
Kage Bunshin (forward, hcf+ slash)
Hanzo does a ninja pose, spins and disappears, reappears with his shadow clone with the enemy in the middle. Light slash will always place him at the left of the screen, and medium slash will always place him at the right. A great AI exploit, follow it up with a throw or his pile driver.
Pile Driver(dp+kick)
Signature command grab. Upon slamming the enemy to the ground, it sets them ablaze and differentiating it from Galford's electric pile driver. Performing this after running or rolling will change the trajectory of both you and the enemy, and where both of you will land.
Bakuenryu/Jumping Fire Spring(hcb+slash)
Hanzo pounds the ground and a jumping spring like flame sprouts towards the enemy. Has slow start up, but one Hanzo recovers, he can run behind it.
Invicibilty(back, forward, back, forward, back, forward, down+light kick+medium slash+medium kick)
Hanzo turns invicible after laughing and slightly appears when performing attacks. Will fully reappear when hit by the enemy or after 10 seconds. I never used this move in this vid.
Super(hcb, forward +medium kick)
Hanzo stabs the ground and a huge twirling pillar comes out, dealing huge damage and destroying the enemy's weapon.
