San Andreas on PS2 - A "DISASTROUS" Glitch! (Check This Out!!!)
27What in the actual...?! I was in the process of buying The Country Safehouses and moving my DP/EP/FP/MP Police out the horrendous San Fierro Impound to Palomino Creek Safehouse when this occurred!
This has NOTHING to do with PCSX2. NOTHING to do with Save States. This has EVERYTHING TO DO WITH PS2 and it being ultra glitchy! I don't even have my old SA Saves on PS2, so can't load them up and even check the Stats if I have a Disastrous Date there or not, but if memory serves me correct, I DO. I remember looking at those Stats wondering how on earth that even generated in my old PS2 Save, and now I know. You buy Blueberry Safehouse (****WHEN HELENA SPAWNS IN THE GAME WORLD**** - It can be avoided if she doesn't spawn and the SAME THING happens when you go into Driving School, see Michelle standing there, and then going into the Red Marker to begin Driving School!), you get ONE Disastrous Date added to your Stats! It also can give Helena up to 40% Progress immediately, without even doing anything or dating her! However, it's lost after you actually GO TO Helena and ask her to be CJ's Girlfriend! Reverts back to 15%.
But...If you go to Helena, ask her to be CJ's Girlfriend, THEN buy the Safehouse, this Disastrous Date will NOT populate in the Stats. Interesting, isn't it?
No. It's NOT LIKE THIS on Mobile or PC as this NEVER HAPPENED (or did I get lucky?!) to me in any of those Saves. This is also NOT THE FIRST TIME I've seen this happen on PS2, it's just before, I never knew what caused it. Now I know and guess what? It's avoided for the Save! Granted, I have to have Helena as my Girlfriend NOW rather than much later when I'd like to get her. A bit problematic, because once again, PS2 has this horrible Glitch where all the Red Markers for the Girlfriends go away and never come back (unless you KILL CJ...No.). Thankfully, I never use Helena for Dates and the AP Jealous Girlfriend Vehicles later on. I will only use Millie (because of her Keycard, anyways) and possibly Denise.
Speaking of Denise, notice how she is not even listed in my Stats. This is for a reason and it's NOT because she is under 1% Progress. It's because she is still 15% (like she is after Burning Desire) and without even populating or generating this Stat in the Pause Menu! Though, if she calls CJ when in a Vehicle or something, then her Progress is populated and will decrease to 12%. In fact, I picked up the Phone in Los Santos early on when she called and scheduled a Date with CJ. Her Progress STILL didn't generate and I know EXACTLY what time in-game a message will pop up saying I missed my date with Denise and she won't be happy. As long as I am NOT in Los Santos around this time or on a Mission, then I can avoid this the entire game until much later on when I will be in Los Santos again!
And no, doing this with Denise isn't the cause of the Helena Progress Glitch/Disastrous Date Glitch. For a fact, I know this. Went back to a Backup Save of the Save State, did some stuff to get her to generate in the Stats BEFORE starting The Green Sabre.........Still got the Glitch when I bought Blueberry. It's also interesting how you can shoot Helena before buying the Safehouse and by doing this, that 40% Progress WILL NOT SHOW. How does your sequence of events give you Stats or not give you Stats? This game is SO glitchy...
Gotta keep those Stats clean!
