This is the new route, which is actually an old route that I had worked out a while ago, but it used to actually lose time, with the older hitboxes. I could have had the first sub-29 on this run, but I fumbled it. The second powerup is entirely skippable, but I had to grab it in this run due to luck, and despite only needing to spend 2 frames on it, I went way too far and lost 12 frames doing that. I lost 14 frames in total during this run. 28.56 is possible.

The skip concept at the end of this video has been determined to be impossible. I lose 2 frames in the turn-around for the attempt I made at it here, but unless those 2 frames make all the difference, and I'm pretty much 100% sure they don't, then it's impossible. Trying the right ladder also doesn't work. Shoutout to OMC (the game's creator) for proving that.
