Update: This was achieved without first updating the game. I didn't know it at the time, but the update to the physics engine had changed water interaction, and I was still using the older physics engine. This is just day 1 of the new seasonal campaign. I wonder how well this would hold up over the full 3 months, if I don't beat it by then.

I figured out a trick with water on this map. This might not be new to some, but it was new to me. If you lightly turn when gliding flat atop water, you get a massive speed boost. You can also turn lightly when bouncing on the water, and you'll get a bit of a boost there as well. Still trying to work out the finer details of all of this.
