Sanvein (known as Shooter: Starfighter Sanvein in the U.S.) is one of those "dreaded" A1/SuperLite 1500 or "budget" games that tend to make you lower your expectations considerably before purchasing or playing them. For what it's worth, Sanvein is one of the better games within the A1 lineup, though admittedly pretty short and pretty easy for the most part.

The concept of the game is interesting enough; You are the pilot of a ship who is trying to leave a fake and hellish utopia of sorts known as St. Schutz (St. Schutz, Schutz in this case being a German term for "protection" or "refuge"), and you have to breach various levels before you can get further in the game and ultimately break free from the digital world that you're trapped in. The game allows you to use three different weapons and sub-weapons that you'll use to fight enemies within 360-degree combat.

The interesting thing besides your typical shooting game priorities as far as weapon power and ability offsets is that there is an ever-running clock throughout the game and the game is broken up between floors and boss floors. Going through normal floors wastes time but improves the power of your ship. Boss floors give you time and help you progress through the game. Only you can decide what balance you want between power and remaining time, though I should add that you lose all your power when you breakthrough to another stage, though collecting most or all of the power on a stage can make the end-boss a cinch, if you've got time.

Enjoy.
