Satisfactory Update 5 Longplay pt30: Initial Nukes 2 (Road to Nuclear Pasta)
Longplay through to megabase (hopefully)
Have not actually played Update 4 so a lot of this is new! I'm probably going to be doing spreadsheets/planning during stream (offscreen) so there's going to be a bit of dead time. Longplay will be unedited; I'm not particularly streaming this to build an audience but I'm mic'd up so feel free to come say hi or ask questions regarding this game or my work in general and I'll answer if I can.

pt30: Initial Nukes 2
We hook up the rest of the infrastructure for the initial 10 Nukes, bring in the Uranium... and summarily die to forgetting splitters have an internal buffer, dumping Uranium into inventory when dismantled, lol
After hooking up the rest of the stuff and confirming it's at least working, radiation distances are also re-confirmed since this is the first time I'm building nukes again since... early U3 and I'm not sure what changed. Thankfully it's still possible to stand on top of a nuke plant and not take radiation damage when it has a full stack of Rods in it, which should simplify expansion a lot. Hence, finished off the remaining 8 plants.
This should net us a stable 25GW in the next 5 hours or so (lol) which in addition to the 12GW from Coal is a nice buffer to go expand a whole bunch of lacking production chains, some of which are time bombs against the Nukes being underfed:
- Iron+Concrete to Encased Iron Beams (both for direct sending to nukes and also) to Fused Frames (for sending Pressure Cubes to nukes)
- Retrofitting Circuits to use Silicon to take pressure off Caterium for now
- Expanding Bauxite to have a decent amount of Casings coming in.
- Expanding Rubber to 900/min with the alt setup and retrofitting the existing Oil area to push out 600 Plastic + Coke for the Aluminum plant
- Tapping a completely separate Nitrogen well for Nukes to decouple it from main base production
Thankfully these are all on hours-long timers and the worst that can happen is that some nukes shut off for a bit. No big deal. The absolute crucials like Batteries to keep Drone transport going is still within big safe margins.
There's a couple immediate options after that:
1) Expand the nukes to 75GW (utilizing the entire Uranium node, no alts on Uranium rod production)
2) Expand the main base and Oil/Aluminum lines even further to set up for the final Elevator goal
3) Start prettying everything up and tidying up spaghetti/clipping
My heart wants to do 3), but my brain insists on 1) since spending more time at the Nuke area will also help spot potential booboos and throughput issues. And when that's up we really won't have to worry about power for a good long while except for flexing, lol.
