Satisfactory Update 5 Longplay pt26: Nitrogen, Fused Frame, Cooling System (Road to Nuclear Pasta)
Longplay through to megabase (hopefully)
Have not actually played Update 4 so a lot of this is new! I'm probably going to be doing spreadsheets/planning during stream (offscreen) so there's going to be a bit of dead time. Longplay will be unedited; I'm not particularly streaming this to build an audience but I'm mic'd up so feel free to come say hi or ask questions regarding this game or my work in general and I'll answer if I can.

pt26: Nitrogen, Fused Frame, Cooling System
Phew, this one is a bit of a variety.
Segment starts with a re-do of the back spine area that feeds the main production wings. ALSO OUR FIRST CRASH IN 100 HOURS THE ENTIRE RUN ON EXPERIMENTAL, LOL. Quartz, Silica and Steel Pipes now properly go through the spine rather than hodgepodge internal spaghetti. (Incidentally it's long overdue also doing this for the front spine so the front of the base doesn't look like shit).
There's also a slight power grid re-do so that all the different production wings can be switched on/off from the Hub area. Started putting information in the main 'control room'/Hypertube nexus but I'm not convinced of the layout yet so I'm going to sit on that for a while.
We finally set up the overflow sink for high value parts, which also lets us bulldoze the ugly sink sitting right in the middle of the main building.
Next up, despite already hand-feeding a bunch for a small stack of Turbo Motors, actual proper automation (via Drone!) for Nitrogen is set up, followed by properly redoing Heavy Frames, Circuits, Computers, and moving on to High-Speed Connectors, Heat Sinks and properly hooking up Fused Frames and Cooling Systems. We're solidly in new territory now, as none of this was in U3, the last time I played.
I think we're within a stone's throw of finally messing around with U4+ nukes- Need to get Caterium/Quickwire up to speed, automate Supercomputers and Electromagnetic Control Rods, automate some Hazmat filters and then start building the infrastructure to get 2-4 Nukes up. I'm probably going to be doing it in two stages with a temporary waste storage just so there's a power buffer- 12GW still feels a little dicey to have Particle Accelerators ready to go off the bat for Plutonium processing.
