These are what I feel are some of the worst habits Yoshimitsu players have with blockstrings (because they most often go unchecked), along with the best ways to deal with them. Writeup below:

5. wrA A+B. Rising short range hori mid, vertical launcher. +6 on block. Natural combo, and tech jumps on second hit. Transitions into dragonfly, where he can do DGF A+B to frametrap you with a 10 frame gap. To beat it on block, you can GI the second hit on reaction if you look for the flash, just like AA A+B. Or, you can sidestep after he does wrA, giving you a better punish.

4. AA A+B. i10 hori high high, vertical mid mid. +2 on block. Does not jail, is a natural counter combo but not a natural combo on regular hit. If hit by it, just block to block the third hit, then you can even RI the fourth guaranteed, he is locked into it. Or you can just block it and deal with his + frames. On block, you can GI the flash on reaction every time. RI is a level 2 RI. I would not recommend this option unless your reactions aren't the best and you have to.

3. 3AA/3AB. i16 short ranged hori mid/high or hori mid/mid. High is -4 on block, mid is -18 on block. Just block the second hit. Then it's your turn. Or, you can duck if you expect the high.

2. 6AA and 6AB. i16 hori high high or hori high vertical mid mid. 6AA is +0 on block, 6AB is +4 on block. Can GI both on reaction, or for better reward but higher risk, step or duck.

1. Doorknocker/6B series, i14 vertical mid high high mid. Can duck after the mid and get forceblock. Can only be GI'd on a hard read.
