114Firefighters rescued two dogs that became trapped on an island of downed trees on a river in Butte County, California, on February 13.
Video by the Butte County Fire Department shows members of their water rescue team use an inflatable dinghy to reach the dogs on Feather River. One firefighter enters the water during the rescue before the dogs were lifted into the boat and brought to dry land.
βThe dogs were very happy to join our firefighters in their boat and get onto dry land again. They were very sweet and totally cooperative,β the department said in a Facebook post detailing the rescue.
