SCATHE Gameplay 'Epic' Quality - Bullet-hell Classic Gory FPS
2Sharing gameplay of SCATHE pre-release Demo, an upcoming (August 31, 2022 release) bullet-hell first-person gory shooter PC game that takes inspiration from the classic FPS games, like Doom. Featuring big guns and fast-paced combat. Feels like Doom and Returnal had a baby.
Scathe is challenging, pretty hard alone based on my first try, has boss fights, and supports full crossplay online multiplayer (on release).
Disclaimer: Pre-release version of the game. Doesn't represent the final quality of the game. This is my first time playing, some features I might have missed, keep this in mind.
Things I want to see improved based on my little time with it:
- Sound effects that register hit on enemies instead of just the red reticle
- The 'F' key for clearing the face mechanic is annoying
- Better intro sound effect for the first boss
- Dodging bullets in a tight environment is not fun. Returnal was amazing in that aspect that gave you enough space to dodge and reposition while still maintaining tight and fast-paced combat.
