Looking at so many large-scale, especially open-world games on the Nintendo Switch, shows how restricted developers are making detailed more immersive, and beautiful worlds. This is due to the limitation of the Nintendo Switch hardware.

I feel bad for some developers needing to deliver such ugly-looking worlds to their fans, not because this is the art direction they have chosen, but because they are forced to downgrade the design of the world to match the hardware's performance of the Switch.

I played Pokemon Arceus, and I just wish it had more details and a more pleasing open world to explore. Many games can benefit fore more freedom of adding more details to the world with higher quality textures, lighting, etc. Even Xenoblade Chronicles 3 world (based on gameplay that I've seen), looked so plain and unimmersive. Breath of the Wild art direction was a good choice and actually was a way to overcome the hardware limitation but even this game can benefit from better hardware when it comes to visuals.

I love the Nintendo Switch, I really do, but at the same time, I am getting fed of its limitations. It's time for a more POWERFUL Nintendo Switch 2! I want developers not to be so restricted and make their games look amazing as they imagined them to be.

The gameplay shown in the video is from Animal Crossing New Horizons, Pokémon Arceus, and Pokémon Café Mix.
