This is a repost of a discussion I had with Joe on Answers in Reason. The discussion was prompted by fellow sceptics and atheists posting and sharing memes about the origins of Easter without any critical examination of the content. And even when presented with evidence that the memes were incorrect the sceptics and atheists instead either doubled down, or blocked people. Whichever route they chose, they denied the evidence presented to them.
In this chat we discuss that kind of behaviour, how it goes against good scepticism, chat about scepticism in general, and talk about empiricism.
