Often when I ask a fellow atheist or sceptic what evidence is, I will get a response describing the qualities that they expect evidence to have. Rather than giving me a description of what evidence is. It seems to me that when it comes to evidence, there are lots of misunderstandings that float around atheists and sceptics online. A good example of this are the responses that Emerson Green received to one of his recent videos where he discussed the topic of evidence.

In this video I take a look at evidence, look at how it works, how it has subjective nature as well as an objective nature, the idea of frameworks, and a brief look at thinking critically about evidence. This is not a deep dive into the topic, but instead a story told about evidence in the hopes of getting my fellow atheists and sceptics online to think about it in a different way. And to break free from the oft-repeated slogans and misunderstandings that float around various Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube circles.
