Happy Friday everyone!

My next gameplay walkthrough series will feature the indie game Scheming Through the Zombie Apocalypse: The Beginning. This game released on the Xbox One on September 18th, 2019. It was developed by Entertainment Forge and published by Ratalaika Games S.L.

Part 1 introduces us to the main characters, Hank and Larry, and their plan/scheme on how to survive during an unexpected zombie apocalypse.

Scheming Through the Zombie Apocalypse: The Beginning is best described as a point-and-click adventure game about two friends, Hank and Larry who find themselves needing to survive during an unexpected zombie apocalypse. They quickly realize that they will need to find food and loot to survive and realize their own fear and lack of skills in doing so which brings to their decision to convince the other citizens to do the dirty work for them. They are pretty good at persuading others to do their bidding for them and so they set out in their van to recruit others to do the looting while they act as a look-out and provide guidance to them.

I have to admit that the gameplay is actually very limited in this game, however, the game was fun and funny in its own right. Throughout the first half of the game the player primarily has to select their preferred dialogue choices between the various characters and use their binoculars to act as the look-out. There are only a few scenes where the game actually plays like a point-and-click game, however, the elements are there. The game should certainly appeal to anyone who enjoys watching shows like Family Guy, South Park and even Happy Tree Friends. It doesn't take itself very seriously (which is a nice change of pace from some of the other games that I have played in the past) and it has some really funny moments.
