Schneider's First Rank Symptoms - Let's Learn Something
Well hi hello and welcome to another Onkruid video!
Today we are talking about Kurt Schneider's First Rank Symptoms for the diagnosis of schizophrenia. This is not an easy diagnosis to give and it can leave a huge impact on the person diagnosed. To make sure that we don't throw the label around too lightly, Schneider wrote about his ABCD of symptoms that can indicate a possible case of schizophrenia.
Auditory hallucinations
Broadcasting of thoughts
Controlled thoughts
Delusional perception
I realize this video is a bit more specific for the psychiatry field and it might therefore not apply to the broader public as behavioral activation does, but hopefully, it's still interesting!
