G'day guys Mennace here with another Scrap Mechanic News Update, a new devblog has been released and is full of awesome information that I want to share, so let’s get into it.
The team have announced that they will be hiring more hands to help with the development of Scrap Mechanic as well as expansion to larger offices, hopefully this means more content arriving faster in the future.
Since our last Update video a huge number of bug fixes and optimisations have been rolled out and it seems this will be the focus for the short term future. Startup crashes, various in game crashes and floating objects were all issues addressed recently.
Beyond this we can expect some cool new items to be added, such as the horn. This nifty little block can be connected to switches, sensors, controllers and driver’s seats. To top it off it will include a pitch shift function, enabling players to create their own La Cucuracha car horns. The Axolot team also revealed a paint tool, which will allow you to change colour of any item in the game, as well as a few building parts which include the mattress and a toilet! Concept art for the hostile robots was also posted in this devblog and the descriptions states that different robots will have unique abilities, I personally can’t wait to see these in action within a survival world.
