Screen Warping in Link's Awakening - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
4,074In The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for the Nintendo Game Boy, it's possible to transition between overworld screens while maintaining Link's position on the screen. For example, Link can warp to the right side of the area to his right. It's called the Screen Warp Glitch.
To perform this trick, simply hit the Select button to open up the map the very moment Link triggers a screen transition between two overworld areas. When using this glitch to travel to the right, Link will be positioned on the right side of the screen on the next area to the right. This glitch can be used to skip the entire portion of Richard's Villa and the five Golden Leaves. It also has many other practical uses that I couldn't cram into a one minute short video!
Note that this glitch cannot be performed in Link's Awakening DX. And probably not in the remake either, but I haven't checked. XD
