7-1 Level Skip in Mario 3 - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
1,534In Super Mario Bros 3, it's possible to essentially skip level 7-1 by clipping through the wall before you enter the door at the beginning of the stage. I'm playing the Super Mario All-Stars version on SNES, but this trick works on the NES version as well.
To perform this level skip trick, simply build up speed as soon as you start the level and jump to hit your head at the bottom left corner of the block above the door. When you fall, if Mario's feet (or Luigi's if you're the 2P) connect with the top right corner of a block as he is landing, the game will force him through the wall, and he will emerge from the right side, skipping the level almost entirely.
AFAIK, you cannot perform this trick with small Mario.
This trick is somewhat reliant on Mario's "subpixel value," which essentially determines Mario's position between pixels. Subpixel values can be manipulated, but for simplicity's sake, just keep trying until the trick works. Your horizontal subpixel values change every time you input Left or Right on the D-Pad.
