There is only a couple frames wiggle room for this. It requires cancelling the hint on the first frame possible (you might be able to get away with one frame later, but I'm not sure), and then performing a good double jump, without too much hesitation between jumps.
To give yourself a better chance at this, you could shave up to 4 frames off by tapping the Starite to end the level earlier, but this requires impeccable timing and is very difficult when you have to manage the directional input, the Start button, and the touchscreen.
