SD Hiryu no Ken is what I'd call the tragic victim of laziness. The game is more complex than generally any other fighting game on this system, period. I've learned this over the years as I painstakingly made an FAQ for it. It has numerous practice modes, a tournament mode, various counter-skills, hidden combos, enemy weaknesses through the series' signature "Singan" element, and more. If only the play control was a little better and the overall presentation a bit more polished, I would have no problem calling it a magnificent fighter. As-is, it probably won't grab you unless you're a major Hiryu no Ken fan. Hiryu is sometimes spelled with two "U"s (Hiryuu).

Useless trivia: The U.S. recieved several Hiryu no Ken games, but most were modified significantly with the exception of Flying Dragon: The Secret Scrolls (NES) and Flying Dragon (N64). Flying Warriors (NES) and Ultimate Fighter (SNES) are also Hiryu no Ken games. They were Hiryu no Ken III and Hiryu no Ken S: Golden Fighter - Hyper Version, respectively.
