Date: 25 Oct , 1996 Weather: 1° C - freezing rain - slight fog.

SITUATION: Namalsk, a forgotten and thought abandoned Soviet Bloc mining colony has been brought to our attention after receiving a radio transmission from one Mitya Borisov, a former Soviet Colonel stationed on the islands. The information we gathered was brief, but has since been verified. The acting military leaders refused orders of dissolution during the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, and instead opted to cut all contact with the outside world. For 5 years Soviet soldiers stationed on the island were told the Cold War war was ongoing and had turned nuclear, they were given the impression the mainland world had been destroyed and banned all contact outside of the region for fear of further retaliatory strikes. The ranking Major General Klavdii Kulikov enacted martial law over the civilian miner populace and began purging those critical of his orders throughout his ranks. Rumor of the war being over had circulated among the lower enlisted and those loyal to Col. Borisov began preparations for their coup over the past 3 years, dubbing themselves the NRF (Namalsk Revolutionary Forces) they have over the past few weeks been able to capture the whole South Eastern island and secured the long range radio equipment they used to make contact with the American mainland.
MISSION: ST5 conducted an after-dark raid on the Ex-Soviet mountain base, having met fierce resistance within the walls of the enemy strongpoint the team conducted CQB clearing of the bases interiors in search of intel as well as the visiting regional commander. Having found no sign of the HVT the team has regrouped and is getting ready to move onto the second enemy position.

2. Search for signs of HVT's location
3. Eliminate or capture enemy HVT
4. Search for intelligence
5. Standby for further orders.
