89Fortnite: Where To Search Between A Mysterious Hatch, A Giant Rock Lady And A Precarious Flatbed
Fortnite: Battle Royale is entering the final few weeks of the game's winter-themed Season 7. Snow has covered the map. Cube monsters have returned dressed up like Ice Fiends. And a new suite of challenges just went live to help you earn Battle Stars and level up to Tier 100 and the Ice King skin.
We're also just one week away from discovering what the special Snowfall skin is, since we won't know that until we have a full 60 challenges completed (this week will only get you to 56).
In any case, Week 8's challenges include another "Search Between" quest. This time around, players are tasked with searching between a mysterious hatch, a giant rock lady and a precarious flatbed. "Precarious Flatbed" almost sounds like a country band name. I dig it. (Scroll down for the map.)

You'll find the locations in question up in the northeastern portion of the map. The mysterious hatch has been around for a long time, drawing comparisons to the hatch in Lost. You can find it in Wailing Woods in the northeastern portion of the forest. Here's what it looks like:
The giant rock lady is just to the south of Wailing Woods on a hill. You can see what she looks like in the header image of this post. Keep an eye on her---she might start moving, or at least changing her pose.
And finally, the precarious flatbed can be found on the cliff on the very edge of the map just to the east of these other locations. It's just about the most precarious looking semi-truck I've ever seen:
Simply go to the patch of dry land in the middle of the snowy hill and the Battle Star will appear. It's worth 10 Battle Stars, or one full Tier, getting you that much closer to Tier 100 and the Ice King skin, as well as the secret Snowfall challenge skin.
A few weeks ago we had to search between a giant rock man, crowned tomato and an encircled tree, making this the second "giant rock person" challenge of the season. I wonder if these are important beyond the challenges? Will these giant rock people tie into Season 8 somehow? It wouldn't be the first time large statues loomed large in Fortnite. I guess we'll see.
While this is Week 8 of Fortnite's seventh season, Season 8 isn't slated to release until the end of February, meaning we'll have some downtime between the end of the challenges and the start of a new season. Should be fun to see what Epic Games has in store . . . .
