After some months, I finally got a Slim PS3 to mod it and play the Ratchet & Clank Randomizer, an amazing mod made by bordplate and released this past March of 2022. The idea is simple: when you activate the mod, the location of all items, gadgets, weapons and infobots gets randomized, so you can get the Thruster-pack in a Gadgetron Vendor or you can pay 150k bolts on Rilgar to get the Sonic Summoner. Who knows! It’s random! The only rule is that infobots are randomized in their own separate pool, so you will still get no new coordinates on Aridia, for example.

With that being said, the randomizer was originally made with speedrunners in mind, making the majority of runs completable only if you knew and could pull off most if not all speed strats. The most recent update has changed that to make all runs completable with casual logic, always granting the needed gadgets to complete all paths in the intended way. However, having to do some speed tech is fun, and thus I messed around with the code to tweak the requirements for some items, removing the need for lots of gadgets.

This is my second run on stream, where I test a brand new custom logic for the first time. After realizing the PDA tended to be placed super early on as it could be used for the majority of paths, I removed it from several places to get a higher chance of getting a pack early on and make the run more interesting. Besides that, in this run I also use a new custom self-made layout to track my progress during the run, a timer and a controller layout to show my inputs in real time! Enjoy!
