Secret of Evermore Part 2: Big Bugs in Bugmuck.
0I dunno, maybe they're regular sized back in the Permian era.
If you wonder about the 10.000.000 playthrough, I'm grinding it out offscreen until all that remains is getting 10 million points.
So then I can show how hallow the experience really is.
Regardless, we face off against Thraxx the bug who kinda gives us a spider claw... but... bugs aren't spiders... whatever. It cuts grass, which opens up a few new areas.
We also get the Jaguar Ring, which allows us to run. Running does leave us fatigued and vulnerable if we run into trouble. The game kinda annoys you here with some difficult parts, but it's mostly smooth from hereon out.

Big Bad of Bugmuck, Thraxx
Attacks:
Summon Maggots (30 HP)
Left Claw (17 attack, 50% hit)
Right Claw (17 attack, 50% hit)
Acid Rain (powerful spell, but unavoidable)
Shout (pushes back, deals 5 HP damage, inflected when his heart is hit).
Parts:
Right/Left Claw:
250 HP
17 attack, 32 defence, doesn't drop anything.
Gives 250 experience and talons if killed before the heart.
Only have 20% hit rate on non-player-controlled characters, oddly enough.
Heart:
600 HP
Doesn't go anything.
Gives 500 experience and 750 talons on death. Also gives the Spider Claw ax.
This guy is a jerk. Either have plenty of spells and train them, or just grind out some levels and equipment. He's quite the spike in difficulty and will really test your abilities. Most bosses after this aren't that hard, but that might be the lack of spells, equipment and options in general.
