Secret Of Mana (Snes 1993) Reimagined in 3D!

A little bit of fun I had with one of my favourite RPGs of all time. The Snes version of Secret Of Mana converted into an "extruded" 3D landscape and magical reimagining.
I played through the game and screenshot textures and tiles that I thought would suit the montage, and then I created custom shapes in an old 3D landscape generating software called Bryce - and applied textures to them, then recreated some of the iconic scenes from the game in a kind of stage-prop visual. So there was a comfortable viewing angle of about 130 degrees. Then I lined up a camera to pan/zoom through the terrain to the desired effect. Was a really fun project!
