Series Intro and Village #1

- - - - - - - - - -

As you can see in the Title, the SEED for the map I'm playing is -1664531454. When the map was created the first time (as a multiplayer LAN game), my son-in-law Harry used a family name as the seed, so I'm not sharing that with you. The numbered seed was obtained by typing "/seed" into the chat panel.

The original map was created back in 1.12.2, at the time when you could make a lot of changes to the worlds before they generated. So Harry made the world have more dungeons. The subsequent versions we've used since then (from 1.14 until the current 1.16.1) have NOT had those capabilities, so there are slight differences here and there (mostly underground). However, the Biomes (not large ones...just regular ones) have always remained almost completely intact, AND so have the extremely large number of Villages, Desert Pyramids (formerly Desert Temples), and Abandoned Mineshafts.

That's the main thing that has made this map so very much fun for our family, as we've wended our way through it, individually, on three different computers, over the past three years! Every time one of us starts the world over in the newest Minecraft version, we look for new Villages. A few have been found, by all of us on different computers, but when we give the coordinates to the others, sure enough, those Villages are there in THEIR versions, as well. We haven't had a single one be in a totally different area. Due to the differences in the Overworld in general, from 1.12 through 1.16, there are differences in the Villages, of course, but they're all there! That, in itself, is really something!

As I share my brand new start in this seed, in 1.16.1, I'll also be sharing videos with you, from the other two versions of the game that are currently being played by Harry and my daughter Judi. Each of them has different playing and building styles from my own, but we all share the love for the Villages, Mineshafts, and "Temples," in general. We hope you'll enjoy this map along with us, and that you'll also feel free to share structures with us as you go.
