The Sega Genesis is one of the best consoles ever made and has an awesome library. Without the Sega Genesis, I doubt the console scene would be as competitive in the early 90s. But it's time to let the Genesis go. There are just too many variations and the brand has degraded since the 32X ad-on failed to keep the Genesis relevent.

Now with the announcement that AtGames will be making the Sega Genesis Mini, is it finally time for Sega to admit that the Genesis needs to fade into obscurity?

Or should they bet it all on black and enlist the folks at Analog to make a premium Genesis console?
