The japanese version of Sega Rally 2 for the Dreamcast being played via a VGA box, VGA to HDMI converter and XRGB-mini Framemeister.
The VGA to HDMI converter is by a company called Neet. I needed to pass the converted HDMI signal through the XRGB-mini because none of my other devices or displays were compatible with the output from the VGA to HDMI converter so this is the only way I could capture the footage.
I could probably have improved the picture by adjusting the colour settings etc on the XRGB-mini but given that they are fine for all my other consoles I did not want to change them.
Although the converter does support audio using a seperate input, for some reason I could not capture any sound whilst making this video (hence the unusual choice of music!).
As far as I am aware, the japanese version of Sega Rally 2 is the only version to include the Ford Escort WRC.
Excuse the poor driving, I haven't played this game for a long time. The purpose of this video was purely to demonstrate one way of capturing the VGA output of the Dreamcast.
Please also see my earlier video of the PAL version of Sega Rally 2 using a generic "no name" scart to HDMI upscaler which cost about ยฃ30 and produced decent results.
