Serious Sam Fusion: Towards The Sirian Gate - 09 Luxor: Powered Up (Serious 100%)
Well here it is, the finale for now until... This is definitely the longest and most difficult map of the bunch, and you're guaranteed to kick as much ass as you will have your ass handed to you.
This is also the only time in the campaign where you can find the last weapon in TTSG's arsenal, the Burner from SM! While you don't get it officially, you can obtain it early on inside a secret at the beginning of the level, and it remains useful since it shares its ammo pool with the Laser Rifle.
Like the Eraser, it works off of some scripting magic I can't even begin to comprehend that makes it work almost 1:1 with how it does in SM. It's useful in most fights, though I find it chews through ammo pretty quick and the way the beam waves all over the place when firing makes me instinctually think it's only good at close range and not able to consistently hit far away targets, so the Laser Rifle still gets a fair bit of use.
I do think like in level 6 that some of the fights drag on for entirely too long, but honestly it's sort of to be expected since it is a climax point in BFE's campaign. Also, much like level 7, I strongly applaud this level for how it handles the seal collecting by making them all their own unique arena fights. Did I mention you get a jetpack at the beginning of this level now?
This might be the single greatest modded campaign level I've ever had the privilege to play for Serious Sam and I'm very anxious to see how the remaining 3 levels will fair (and Jewel of The Nile if they ever decide to include those levels into the campaign).
